The Drop System chandelier is by Adelman, the candlesticks are by Ted Muehling for E.R. Butler & Co., the parquet flooring is original to the house, and the artwork is by Jared Rue.

The B&B Italia bed is in a Holland & Sherry wool, the desk is by Lucien Rollin, and the chair is by Oscar de la Renta for Century. A 1940s console that purchased in Paris along with unsigned artwork from Redefined Chicago complete the space.

In the master bath of an Art Deco pad in Chicago, the Waterworks tub has fittings by Barber Wilsons & Co., the circa-1905 Viennese stool by Julius and Josef Herrmann is from Bernd Goeckler, and the room is sheathed in Calacatta Capri, Grigio Carnico, and Belgian Black marbles; the abstract plaster sculpture is unsigned and from the 20th century.

In a remote New Zealand surf town, architects Lance and Nicola Herbst tucked a spacious weekend retreat amid a lush grove of exotic trees. In the living area of the house, designed in its entirety by the couple, the sofa is a custom design, and the fireplace by Masport Heating is set in a custom-made steel cabinet; the pendant light is by Secto Design and the walls are sheathed in black-stained western red cedar.

In the compact guest bedroom of a London townhouse, hotelier and designer Kit Kemp used a black-and-white Brunschwig & Fils toile de Jouy for the walls, canopy, pillows and bedding, adding texture while maintain a clean, monochromatic color scheme. The artwork is by Dick Bixby, and the faux-shagreen table is Kemp's own design.
